Why should you be able to plan, design, and create a professional looking website that showcases your chosen career area?
Key Questions:
What career do you want to have when you grow up? Where will you go to school? How much money will you make? What will you do everyday? How do you plan, design, and create a website that gives the user information about your chosen career?
Activating Strategy:
Visit this site http://www.salary.com/mysalary.asp to find the salary for a career you want to have one day
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Students will research career interest:
    • Use Occupational Outlook Handbook
    • Use O*Net Online
      • Explore your chosen career area based on the following: Nature of the Work, the Working Conditions, Employment, Training, Qualifications and Advancement, Job Outlook, and Earnings.
      • Explore colleges that offer degree you need--where, what does it take to get in school, cost, time, location, etc.
  • Students will begin Career Website - due on Friday, September 23 at the end of class
    • When completed, print and turn in rubric for grading
