Essential Question:
Why should you use MS Powerpoint to create a slide show presentation?
Key Questions:
Identify different document themes. How and why do you use multi-level bullets? What different viewing modes are available? How can you change the slide layout? How do you apply a background style? Why would you use clipart or images in a slide show? What are slide animations and transitions? How do you apply them and why would you want to use them? How do you run a slide show presentation for an audience?
Activating Strategy:
Have you ever used PowerPoint for another class?
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Continue Daily Vocabulary; define terms 56-60
  • Students will complete
    • PowerPoint Project 1 - page 1-65 (Cabo Package)
      • Students will need to replace presenter's name (Dave Ehlin) with their own name on the title slide
      • When finished, call instructor over for screen check - do not print!
    • Time permitting, begin In the Lab 1 - page 69-71 (Credit)
      • Students will need to replace presenter's name (Marc Kantlon) with their own name on the title slide
      • Print the file "Handouts" style, 6 slides to a page and turn in
