Why is it important to understand issues related to technology?
Key Questions:
What is the Electronic Users' Bill of Rights? What is copyright? What is a patent? What copyright and patent laws affect images, documents, etc. downloaded from the Internet? What are licensing agreements? What are emerging trends in computers, communications, and business?
Activating Strategy:
On a sheet of paper, describe telecommunications.
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Continue Daily Vocabulary; define terms 11-15
  • Turn in FBLA Membership and Dues
  • In groups of 3 or 4, students will begin Computer Use in Society and Career Research & Presentation Project
  • Groups of students will compile research into a professional PowerPoint presentation
  • Presentations must be completed by the end of class on Tuesday
  • Students will present their PowerPoint to the class on Wednesday, August 22 or Thursday, August 23
