Essential Question: How do you format text using InDesign?
Key Questions: What is character formatting? What is paragraph formatting? What is leading? What is the baseline? What is kerning? What is tracking? What is a pull quote? What is a drop cap? What is a paragraph or hard return? What is a soft return? What is a style? Why should you use a style?
Activating Strategy: Fact of the day: InDesign has SpellCheck. To use it, go to Edit-Spelling-Check Spelling, then click Start.
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Continue Daily Vocabulary; define terms 126-130
  • Using the InDesign text, students will complete Chapter 2
    • Lesson 1 - page 2-4 thru 2-11 (Min-Pin Intro) *Keep file open to use in Lesson 2
    • Lesson 2 - page 2-12 thru 2-19 (Min-Pin Intro)
    • Lesson 3 - page 2-20 thru 2-25 (Jake's Diner)
  • These assignments are due tomorrow at the end of class
