What is block style format? What are the margins on a PBL? Where does the date go? What is open punctuation? What is a QS? What is a DS? Where do you use a QS? Where do you use a DS? What is a salutation and complimentary close? What are reference initials? What is an enclosure notation?
Activating Strategy:
Introduce personal business letters using FBLA Formatting Guide
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • First half of period
    • Teacher will lead demonstration of formatting and keying personal business letter 1 (PBL 1) while students follow
  • Second half of period
    • Students will complete PBL 2
  • Put your name in a footer on both letters
  • Print and turn in PBL 2
  • Finish any missing assignments
