What are the margins in business letter? What is a letterhead? What information is in a letterhead? What is an attention line? What is the salutation when there is an attention line? What is a copy notation? Where does a copy notation go? What is a postscript? Where does a postscript go? What does "company name in closing lines" mean? Where does the company name go in the closing line? What are reference initials? What is an enclosure notation?
Activating Strategy:
Discuss key parts of a business letter.
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • First half of period
  • Second half of period
    • Students will complete BL 2
    • Students will complete BL 3
  • Put your name in a footer on all letters
  • Print and turn in BL 2 and BL 3 - due today at the end of class
