What is a memo? Why should you practice netiquette when communicating online?

What are the parts to a memo? When would use a memo? What is netiquette? What is email? What are other ways to communicate online? What is an appropriate email address?

Activating Strategy:
Fact of the Day: Netiquette, which is short for Internet etiquette, is the code of acceptable behaviors users should follow while on the Internet.
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Instructor will lead Memo demonstration while students follow along
  • Students will complete Memo Activity - Due today at the end of class
  • Students will complete Emails 1-5 - Due today at the end of class
  • Finish any missing assignments

Review memos and business letters
