Essential Question:
Why should you be able to use CSS elements in a web page?
Key Questions:
What are the two sections of a web page? How do you "close" a tag? What are the naming rules for html files? What are tag attributes? What is the proper order for opening and closing tags?
Activating Strategy:
Copy the file called style_practice.html from the N drive and paste it into your HTML folder on your Z drive.
Instructional Strategies and Student Activity:
  • Continue Daily Journal
  • Continue Daily Vocabulary; define terms 91-95
  • Review or Introduce the <div> and <span> tags
    • Compare the <div> and <span> to the <p>
    • Introduce the concept of styles
    • Delineate between "element" and "attribute"
    • Organizing style definitions in the head
  • Notes on the above topics
  • Do practice activity together using the practice file copied in Activating Strategy
